Here you are on the Internet referencing how to do reference work.
Do they even make libraries anymore? Your teacher requires you to have BOOKS as sources? You can get books online.
It's just that my first thought is that a teacher required a group of kids to take part of the holiday weekend, and go to a library, and that's ridiculous. Nevermind the time involved and that's it's a holiday weekend where your teacher is likely messing with every family and their plans. It's a waste of time and energy - it's not green. First, books aren't green - Kindle and save a tree. Second, let's talk about how much gasoline was used by every family tied to your class for this project. Thirdly, we have the Internet and most people have home access - and this was done for an efficient reason - access to information without having to go out, say to a library.
Your teacher should be reviewed by her superior. First thing the boss should ask is "What are you thinking? People have lives, and this is 2011."
