Can anyone give information to start working/helping out in animal shelters?

I would love to volunteer and work in and animal shelter(btw not being paid)

Can you give me some sites and information you recommend on how to go about doing this?

Because i want to know if i have to be a specific age, hours to work and any qualifications.

All you have to do is call them up and ask if they need help! (most shelters always do) You might have to fill out an application but thats about it. You're over 18 so you should have no problem being approved. You're doing a great thing!Can anyone give information to start working/helping out in animal shelters?Oh this is great!! Volunteering is so rewarding. If you are in nyc you even might want to try a RAbbit Rescue. They are everywhere. Just google it. I voluntter at the rescue and love it.
